To honor the life of George Floyd, the owners of both Quaintrelle in Portland, Oregon, and Abbey Road Farm in Carlton, Oregon, have pledged to match up to $5,000 raised at both businesses. If the goals at both businesses are met, the fundraiser has the potential to raise a total of $20,000.
Quaintrelle is contributing funds to Don’t Shoot PDX, a non-profit that promotes art, education and civic participation to create social change.
Donations can be made online at quaintrelle.co, or in-person at the restaurant Wednesday -Sunday after 5pm.
Abbey Road Farm is raising funds to support the National Black Farmers Association, which facilitates education and advocacy efforts focused on civil rights, land retention, access to public and private loans, education and agricultural training, and rural economic development for black and other small farmers.
You can donate online at abbeyroadfarm.com or visit the tasting room Wed-Sun 11-5.
